LOCATION: British Library, Kings Cross, London
FutureLearn is looking for a talented UX/UI designer to join the UX, Research & Design team, within this award winning, Ed Tech startup. Following user-centred design (UCD) practices, you will be working alongside other product designers and researchers, in a dynamic and agile, product environment. It is a unique opportunity to be part of a business that is changing the face of education, through digital transformation with some of the world’s top educators.
We are looking for an experienced design thinker who is in their element solving problems with unorthodox methods displaying both user empathy and commercial understanding. You'll apply design thinking and work closely with stakeholders to conceive and design beautiful, usable and engaging educational products that can change lives. You'll be involved in research and ideation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams through the iteration and development process. You have a confident design voice, displaying the ability to frame strong rationales for design decisions, and will at times lead creative working sessions, helping to understand real user and business problems. Your portfolio will illustrate solid examples of UX exploration and a track record of delivering quality, shipped products across web and mobile.
All of our team members are strategic thinkers and conceptual problem solvers who make every design decision an informed one. Each team member is trusted to independently develop their work, making bold decisions with their product team using solid research and understanding. We value proven skills over big egos and thrive on positive, transparent teamwork.
